Since 2001, the Law Office of David W. Alexander has assisted many individuals and small businesses in a number of legal matters ranging from litigation defense, probate matters, to protecting intellectual property through patents, trademarks and copyrights.
David is admitted to practice law in the Courts of the State of Texas and the Commonwealths of Pennsylvania and Virginia and all the Federal Courts of Texas and the District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is a registered Patent Attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Before becoming an attorney, David was employed as a chemical engineer for 25 years in positions ranging from Senior Process Engineer, Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Technical Director, to Vice President of Commercial Development. He provided engineering and managerial services for various companies producing acrylic polymers, formulated epoxy and urethane resins and amine/anhydride hardeners, specialty chemicals and bulk pharmaceuticals.
David has never ceased to improve himself through advanced education. After obtaining a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, he earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering in 1979 from North Carolina State University.
In 2000, David earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law. In 2010, he earned a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property & Information Law from the University of Houston Law School. In 2016, he earned a Master of Laws in Tax Law, also from the University of Houston Law School.
David is an Eagle Scout, Master Mason and a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the Association of Chemical Industry of Texas.
